Organized alphabetically by given name, the directory includes available birth dates and places, parents, spouses and marriages, death information, cemeteries, and family relationships. Information has been compiled from genealogical and historical sources, including vital records, census records, deeds, cemetery records, and other primary and secondary sources.

Some entries remain incomplete—a reflection of the challenges encountered in historical genealogy. These individuals have intentionally been preserved in the directory so that descendants and future researchers may discover records that provide the missing connections.
