Others remain scattered among courthouse records, old photographs, family Bibles, deeds, wills, census records, forgotten communities, and the names of ancestors waiting to be rediscovered.

The Tann–Kikotan Family History Books were created to bring these pieces together and preserve them for generations to come.

Built upon decades of genealogical and historical research, this collection explores the history of the Tann family and its connection to the Kikotan (Kecoughtan) people of Virginia. Through historical documents, genealogy, family stories, photographs, maps, timelines, and research, readers are invited to follow families across generations and discover their place within the broader history of Virginia and the Chesapeake Bay region.
